Valencia, Spain's third largest city after Madrid and Barcelona, was founded by the Romans and later became an important city under the Moors.
Valencia has many notable buildings including, the cathedral (home to the Holy Grail), La Longa (The Silk Exchanged), considered to be one of the finest Gothic buildings in Europe, Museo National de Ceramica (formerly a palace).
The architecture takes a very modern and impressive turn at La Cuidad de las Artes y Ciencias (The Arts and Science Park) a large complex of futuristic buildings on the southern edge of the city aimed at fun and learning.
Immediately to the south of Valencia city you will find the Albufera Natural Park
