Located 5 Km inland from the coastline, and 55Km south of Valencia, the medium sized town of Tavernes de la Valldigna sits in a fertile valley at only 15 above sea level but with hills rising to 400m to the north and south.
The north side of the town backs onto relatively barren hillside, while the other sides are surrounded almost entirely by citrus fruit. The citrus fruit continue almost to the coastline, where there has been a small amount of development by the sandy beach.
The Tavernes de la Valldigna train station (on the line from Valencia to Gandia) is located 3Km east of the town and 2Km from the beach. There is also access to the AP7 mortoway approximately 10Km north or south from the town, making it very accessable.
