The large town of Sueca lies approximately 30Km south of the city of Valencia, and 10Km inland from the coast. The municipality does however include 7Km of sandy coastline backed by sand dunes, including the developments of Mareny Blau, Mareny de San Lorenzo.
The town lies on flat land, close to the river Xúquer, which flows out to sea at Cullera, in a an agricultural area. The land to the east and north is part of Valencias rice growing area, while land on the other sides of the town are predominantly growing citrus fuit. The importance of rice growing is demonstrated by Sueca being the host to an international paella contest every September.
Sueca itself has a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants, and banks.
