The small village of Bugarra lies approximately 40km inland from Valencia city and the coastline, in the wide valley of the river Turia, against the south facing slope of small hill. The river here creates some particularly attractive locations.
The fertile land close to the river grows mostly citrus fruit. On poorer or dryer land, carob trees , olive trees and vines for wine production are grown.
