






The stunning town of Morella, clinging to the small hill surmounted by a castle, sits at nearly 1000m above sea level, 50 Km inland from the Costa de Azahar coast of Castellon province.
This ancient town is enclosed by approximately 2.5Km of stone walls (having a height of between 10 and 15m), in which there are huge fortified entrances, dating from the 14th century together with the castle, and the church of Santa María la Mayor. There are also everal well preserved manor houses in the town.
Although Morella now attracts a large number of visitors through the year, it still has a peaceful ambiance and there is a lot to see.
Local produce includes cheese, hams honey, truffles, and hand woven textiles.
