The town of Rojales, on the banks of the River Segura, is situated in an agricultural area 7Km inland from the southern Costa Blanca near Guardemar del Segura.
The river has a wier in the centre of the town, and just above that is an attractive 16th century stone bridge with a water wheel beside it.
There is a good selection of small shops, banks, bars and retaurants. The traditional local market is held on Thursdays.
The nearby development of Ciudad Quesada was originally part of Rojales but is now recognised as a separate town, now being larger than Rojales.
