Moraira, an old fishing town between the larger and busier towns of Calpe and Javea on the Costa Blanca sits in its own south facing bay and has two gently sloping sandy blue flag beaches. There are now only a very small number of fishing boats working from the port and tourism is the main industry. Development has been carefully controlled amongst the pine trees that come almost to the beach, and is mostly low rise apartments or villas, and is popular with spanih holiday makers.
Moraira has a good selection of small shops, bars, restaurants that serve locally caught fish, and a modern marina.
The weekly market is held every Friday
