This village is situated in a valley at the foothills of the Sierra del Algayat surrounded by vineyards, almond and olive groves. The village appears modern, built on a grid pattern, with tree lined streets.
La Romana provides all the general amenities with a small selection of shops and bars, plus a market held every Saturday.
In August there is a fiesta celebrating the Moors and Christians and in September the grape harvest is celebrated with a free Paella in the Park followed by music and dancing.
