The Euromed runs at a speed of up to 200km/hr (124mph) on standard tracks, along the east coast from Alicante to Barcelona
Facilities include Cafeteria Telephone Music channel, Video entertainment, baby room, facilities for the disabled, while Preferencia (first class) passengers also receive the benefit of VIP Lounge at the station, a meal on board, newspaper/magazine and a welcome drink.
The Euromed takes 4 hrs 40 minutes from Alicante to Barcelona at a price of 50 to 80 Euros.
Approximately 4 Euromed trains per day run the route (other trains also run on the same route) stopping at the cities of Valencia (journey time 1hr 30minutes), Castellon (journey time 2hrs 20 minutes), and Tarragona (journey time 3 hrs 45minutes).
