The small village of Los Belones lies 5 Km south of the Mar Menor, in the region of Murcia. This is a modern and busy village with a selction of bars and shops.
The village, which is quite cosmopolitan, has the beaches of the Costa Calida within 5 Km to the north and east while the sports facilities (particularly golf courses) of La Manga Club and others are nearby.
The historic city of Cartagena lies 20Km to the west.
