Cabo de Palos sits at the southern end of the La Manga de Mar Menor, the strip of land separating the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor, on the Costa Calida.
Cabo de Palos in-fact sits on a much smaller strip of land that juts out into the Mediterranean with many small coves. The village has it's own sandy beach, and the beaches of La MAnga are not far away. There is also a small marina.
Due to its exceptional beauty, the sea bed has been designated an Integral Marine Reserve and is also considered to be one of the best scuba diving areas in Spain with its reefs, corral and shipwrecks.
