There has been a long and unstoppable tradition of golf in Spain. The climate for much of Spain is an obvious advantage and there are many superb courses.
Courses range from 9 hole municipal courses (mostly central and northern Spain), to superb championship courses designed by the top designers from Spain or America, and maintained in excellent condition.
This development in Spanish golf over the last 40 or so years is reportedly to due, in some part at least, to the great Severiano Ballesteros, who popularised the game through his own achievements. Then those following in his footsteps in more recent years, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Sergio Garcia.
We have details of the following 376 golf courses in Spain (including the Balearics and Canary Isles), together with location maps and climate information, arranged by region and province.
