Located approximatley 40Km inland and 6Km from the border with northern Portugal, the village of Muiños lies at 680m above sea level, adjacent to the Conchas reservoir, in the Baixa-Limia Natural Park.
The reservoir has boating facilities and a beach near the village. There are also hot springs near the beach offering all year round bathing.
The surrounding area is mainly agricultural (principally livestock production), but rural tourism is also important in this attractive area.
