A climate similar to the Costa Blanca further south but very slightly cooler and wetter. Average summer temperatures in this area are likely to be similar to coastal locations further south in the country but in winter may be up to 2 degrees lower.
The area around Valencia city is relatively non mountainous and there should be little local variation in climate. However, further inland, particularly 60Km to the north west of the city, mountains rise to a height of over 1400m with a corresponding effect on temperatures and rainfall.
