Palamos, situated in the centre of the Costa Brava coastline of north east Spain, is a buzzing town on the waters edge with a fishing harbour, large marina and glorious sandy beach. The port is able to cater for visiting cruise ships.
There is choice between a wide sandy beach in a sweeping bay or stunningly attractive smaller coves with fir trees coming down to the edge of the water and just a small number of fishermans cottages.
You will find plenty of bars and restaurants (with locally caught fish) for daytime or nightlife, plus a wide variety of water sports, boat trips and a fishing museum in the area.
