Situated on the Costa Brava coastline, just south of the Montgri Massif and the bay of Roses, L'Estartit is an old fishing village which has developed into a holiday resort.
The resort boasts an excellent sandy beach which runs south for 3Km to the mouth of the river Ter, while to the north you will find a small beach and a rocky coastline.
There is also a large marina, and the protected (having Natural Park status) Illes Medes archipelago lying just over 1Km off the coast offers a diversity of marine life that can be viewed by divers or passengers in the glass bottomed boats which are available.L'Estartit
