Located in the Gulf of Roses, 4Km south west of roses itself, Empuriabrava is a unique modern (built in the 1970's) development built around 25Km of canals, resulting in a large proportion of the properties having direct access to the water and moorings.
A number of water sports are available in the area (plus canal trips within the town), and sky diving is available from the airstrip immediately north of the town. Immediately south west of the town lies the Natural Park of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà , a protected wet area.
The town also boasts 1.5 Km of wide sandy beach, bars and restaurants, plus plenty of cycling routes.
