Falling under the municipality of Guia de Isora, the small comunity of Tejina de Isora, located 600m above sea level, dates back to the 16th century and has a chapel dating from that time. Due to the altitude, the surrounding area has stunning views westward to the sea at a distance of approximately 5Km, while to the east lies the Montaña de Tejina, which rises to just over 1000m and is a Natural Park.
The surrounding area, or more particularly, the area towards the coast, is agricultural with a large amount of vegetable gowing, the produce being sold through the local co-operative.
