Playa Blanca, originally a small fishing village, sits in the middle of a 9 Km wide bay (itself including smaller bays), at the very south of Lanzarote and is now the second most popular resort on the Island.
There is now a modern marina development with seafront bars and restaurants, where you can check out the cuisine and admire the luxury yachts.
Playa Blanca does of course have it's own sandy beach, a 9Km long bay divided into 3 smaller bays, and some of the best beaches on the island are a short drive away.
Boat trips are available from Playa Blanca, including trips to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, and there is a local bus service at a very low price within the resort.
