The popular Costa Tequise lies on the eastern side of Lanzarote, approximately 6 Km north east of the capital, Arrecife, and 12 Km from the airport. The costa has beaches of fine golden or white sand and a wide range of water sports are available, most notably, wind surfing.
There is also no shortage of land based sport facilities, shops, restaurants for all tastes, golf course, water park, and nightlife.
The Pueblo Marinero (fishing village) consist of a collection of buildings designed to look traditional, and is one of the main nightlife areas.
This is a purpose built tourist resort dating from the 1980's but has been updated more recently with improved facilities.
