The old town of Corralejo on the northern tip of Fuerteventura lies adjacent to the old fishing harbour, still in use today, alongside a modern marina and ferryport, for the small ferry connecting the island to neighbouring Lanzarotte.
The old town has expanded in recent times and is now probably the largest resort on the island, also providing shops bars and restaurants to meet tourists needs.
Nearby is a fine sandy beach, while a little further to the south east lies extensive white sandy beaches and sand dunes, some areas being popular with naturists. Water sports are available including surfing, kite surfing, stand up paddle, and diving.
