Cangas de Onís is a town approximately 10 Km from the Costa Verde coastline of Asturias, 60Km east of Oviedo, well known for its roman bridge across the river Sella. The bridge, declared an Historic-Artistic Site in 1931, has 5 arches, 3 of which are pointed, and a cross hanging from the centre.
Cangas de Onís was the capital of the Kingdom of Asturias until the 8th century.
The town is also close to the Redes Natural Park and the Picos de Europa National Park
