Amandi, a village just over a Km south of the historic town of Villaviciosa, on the Costa Verde coastline of Asturias, northern Spain.
This village, which is not much more than a collection of houses, with the Villavicosa river meandering past, is in an area of apple orchards with a long tradition for producing cider and has stunning beaches nearby.
One notable building is the Church of San Juan de Amandi with it's unusual semicircular porch and intricate carvings causing some to refer to it as the Sistine Chapel of Asturias.
