Located 45Km north of Malaga city and 25Km east of Antequera, the attractive large village of Villanueva del Trabuco lies in the valley of the guadalhorce river (which flows through the centre of the village) and has a mountain range to the south. The surrounding area is agricultural, growing mostly olive trees, plus cereal crops. The village is large enough to have a selection of shops, bars, and banks.
