Located approximately 30Km inland and half way between the popular town of Competa and Lake Viñuela, the village of Sedella sits at 650m above sea level on the so called Ruta Mudejar (Mudejar being a style of architecture developed by Muslims in Christian areas), in the Axarquia area. The village shows signs of its Moorish past, and outside the village is a stone bridge thought to be of Roman origen.
This whitewashed village sits amongst the rolling foothills of the Sierras de Tajeda, Almijara y Alhama Nnatural Park which rises to over 2000m to the north.
The attractive rolling countryside surrounding the village grows a combination of natural vegetation, olives and almonds.
