Lake Vinuela, near the village of La Viñuela, lies approximately 12Km inland from Torre del Mar and the eastern Costa del Sol, in the heart of the area known as Axarquia.
The lake is a man-made reservoir, in an attractive green countryside, where you can sail, canoe, swim (the lake has a number of small beaches), fish (license easily obtainable) or just picnic by the water. Aroundabout, you will also find other activities such as horse riding, walking, and even hang gliding.
The village of Viñuela is located a short diatnce east of the lake, and although small, has a small selection of hop and bar/restaurants.
