The small town of Fuensanta de Martos, in the province of Jaen, Andalucia, situated 18 Km south west of the city of Jaen and 60 Km north of Granada, lies in an agricultural area (mostly growing olives) in rolling countryside between two mountain ranges.
The town sits in the valley of the river Fuensanta at around 700m above sea level, with mountains rising to over 1200m to the east.
