Located 30Km south east of the city of Jaen, and 80Km north of Granada, the attractive large village of Cambil lies in a small valley, with the river Cambil running through the centre, following a meandering course. The old part of the village has been declared an Andalucian Historical Heritage site.
Buildings of interst include the 16th century Church of the Incarnation, and the 18th century Old Hospital.
The village sits at around 800m above sea level and is effectively in the foothills of the Sierra Magina which rise to over 2000m around 12Km to the north east.
