The small village of Fuente Vera lies in an agricultural area (producing mostly almonds) just east of the River Castril valley, in the hills of north east Granada province. This is a mostly modern develpment in an old hamlet.
The immediate area is relatively flat agricultural land growing almonds, with the rio Castral approximately 1Km to the west.
Lake Negratin is approximately 12 km to the south and the large town of Baza is 30km to the south.
