Lying approximately 8km inland from the Costa Tropical, Albuñol is a moorish whitewashed village with narrow streets and a prominent 17th century church, set on the side of a hill, in south east Granada province.
The surrounding area is agricultural, with a growing number of polytunnels making use of the climate, and almond trees on the hillsides.
Albuñol is a quiet place yet is large enough to have a good selection of bars and restaurants
With the Alpujarras approximatly 20 Km to the north, there is plenty to see and do in the area.
