Jimena de la Frontera is an Andalucian white village situated approximately 35Km north of Gibraltar and 25 Km west of Estepona, on the eastern edge of the Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
The village has narrow cobbled streets, lined with white painted houses, which climb steeply in places, to the old Moorish castle, which was itself built on Roman ruins. Being on high ground, there are views down to Gibraltar from the castle plus views across the surrounding agricultural land.
