South of Alicante on the Costa Blanca, the popular holiday resort of Torrevieja has some splendid beaches, surrounded by salt lakes where the salt production has been amongst the most important in Europe.
The salt production still continues but the area is now busy with tourists, providing all their needs, including night life, a wide selection of water sports, 6 golf course within an 8 Km radius and a marina for 1500 yachts.
There are of course plenty of bars and restaurants representing many different nationalities.
