The San Roque golf course, based around the mansion that was once the homeof the Domecque sherry dynasty, was designed by Dave Thomas and built in 1990, 5 Km inland, close to Sotogrande, on the Costa del Sol. This is now known as the old course.
Work began on a second championship course,known ans the New Course, in 2002, designed by the American, Perry Dye.
Facilities include a golf academy, driving range, equestrian centre, spa, restaurants, and 4 star hotel.
The course has 2x18 holes.
