Leon is situated 100Km from the north coast of spain and separated from the coast by
mountains rising to over 2000m. Leon itself being at a height of 926m, being on the
northern edge of the central plateau of Spain.
Average daily temperatures will be amongst the lowest for any city in Spain and the
difference between maximum and minimum temperatures showing the lack of stabalising effect
from the sea.
