The town Figueres, located approximately 12 Km inland from the Costa Brava, and 30 Km north of the city of Gerona in the north east corner of Spain, was placed very firmly on the map when one Salvador Dali was born there in 1904.
The Dal? Theatre and Museum, designed by the artist himself, is dedicated to Dali's life and work, housing the single largest collection of his paintings, sculptures and 3 dimensional collages from various stages of his career.
