Located 5 Km west of the centre of Marbella, Puerto Banús was built around a marina in 1970, and has reputation for catering for the rich. The marina has room for nearly 1000 boats, some of which will no doubt belong to famous, and certainly rich people.
The town has an impressive mountain backdrop and there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the waterfront from where you can watch the boats and the boating people.
Puerto Banús also now has a good selection of boutiques, shopping centre, cinema and a Corte Ingles department store. You will also find a lively nightlife which includes a casino.
