Although the village of Mijas sits 5 Km inland, north of Fuengirola, a 12 Km stretch of the Costa del Sol coastline starting approximately 5Km south west of Fuengirola is known as the Mijas Costa.
This coastline includes the villages of (from East to West) El Chaparral, La Cala, El Combo and Calahonda, and also includes two large urbanizations, the Riviera del Sol and the Sitio de Calahonda.
