Marbella, on the Costa del Sol, famous for being glamorous and attracting glamorous people from around the world has well maintained sandy beaches and a quaint old town contrasting with the modern boutique area.

Marbella itself is steeped in history from as far back as Roman times.
There are many ancient ruins to be seen as you walk around the narrow streets of the old town.

La Plaza de los Naranjos or Orange Square,should be checked out, surrounded by the stately buildings of the old government,now converted to Shops, Galleries, Bars and Restaurants and is a centre of activity night and day.

The marina at Marbella is now outshone by it's newer neighbour, Puerto Banus, but it's the place to find fresh fish and its market supplies many of the restaurants in the area.

35 Km inland is the Sierra de Grazalema Nature Park with its rare Spanish Pine forest and colonies of birds of prey.
