The pueblo blanco of Frigliana, set on the side of a hill 7km inland from Nerja, on the eastern end of the Costa del Sol has been labelled as the prettiest village in Andalucia by the Spanish tourist authority.
The village is in an area known as Axarqu?a and on the edge of the Reserva Natural de Sierra de Tejada, compising the mountains that rise to a hight of 1500m just to the east.
The village itself has narrow cobbled streets with whitewashed houses and a good selection of shops and bars.
