Approximately 35 Km north of Malaga and 20 Km west of the motorway heading up to Antequera, the village of Almogia has a name derived from the Moorish for Pretty One, and sits not far from the Casasola reservoir, below the Sierra del Hacho.
The village has a number of notable buildings, including a tower remaining from the old castle and the surrounding area grows olive and almond trees plus some old oaks.
Amogia is large enough to have a choice of tapas bars and restaurants.
