Located in the middle of the Costa de la Luz, across the bay from the city of Cadiz and 20Km from the city of Jerez, Rota sits at the southern end of the 16Km long golden sandy beach of Playa de la Ballena.
Rota is a fair sized town with a long history, surrounded by farmland, and has a naval base.
