Carboneras sits at the northern end of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park and is surrounded by some of the best beaches in this part of the Costa de Almeria.
Carboneras is a real town, with a working harbour, that has not been taken over by tourism, yet it is an attractive place with a beautiful sandy beach, ideally situated for exploring the Cabo de Gata, and where you will find plenty of locally caught seafood in the bars and restaurants.
